My family takes Halloween Trick or Treating seriously! We go to all of the trunk or treats, we plan our Trick or Treating route with friends, and all the stuff in between, but do you know the one thing most parents forget to bring? Drinks! One year my kids were so dehydrated by the end of the night that I vowed to never forget the drinks again! It’s become “my thing” now. I may not show up with a jacket in the cold, I might forget the fully packed diaper bag on the counter — but the drinks? Never again!
A child’s health is every parent’s top priority, but 50% of kids today are not drinking enough water for optimal brain and body function. When left to their own devices, most kids choose sugary sodas and juices. We all know that high sugar consumption is linked to diabetes and obesity. Moreover, a recent Harvard study indicates that dehydration has been linked to impaired concentration, cognition, and physical activity. Gululu solves this problem. Your kid will love guiding their virtual pet through the Gululu Universe by drinking water, and parents will love that they are staying healthy doing so.
What is Gululu?
Gululu is an interactive water bottle that keeps children hydrated while allowing their parents to monitor daily water-drinking progress through a smartphone app. Gululu provides a technology-enabled solution with a learning-through-play mechanism to address issues pertaining to children’s wellbeing. Gululu was developed by Bowhead Technology.
The water bottle tracks hydration and encourages the child to drink with the help of an educational pet-growing game. As kids consume more water from their Gululu bottle, their virtual pet grows and unlocks new worlds and adventures at the “Gululu Universe.” Gululu also has an automatic water tracker software and content update system that continuously rolls out new features to keep children engaged.

What we love most about Gululu is they are always updating and improving the Gululu Universe with monthly themes! Every couple of weeks, Gululu introduces additional features, such as new online campaigns, drinking animations, pet accessories, sound effects, and more. A fourth virtual pet, (Donny), was released at the end of March. More characters are expected to be added soon to expand the population of the “Gululu universe.” These exciting additions are all automatically updated into the bottle through the cloud.
