All opinions expressed herein are my own!

I am always looking for the best way to clean my fresh produce.  I have tried several sprays and brushes, but leave me wondering if they are truly doing what they are supposed to do. With so many outbreaks of e.coli and salmonella, I want to KNOW that my efforts are actually helping my conventionally grown AND organic produce to be clean and safe to consume. If this is you too, get excited with me about the a Roving Blue Ozo-Pod® 10! The Ozo-Pod® 10 is easy to use and will bring 5 gallons of water up to 1PPM ozone concentration within minutes. That is a lethal level to almost any microbe that can make you sick (YES!!!) It can effectively kill viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasites, including those causing food spoilage or human diseases!

What is Ozone?

Ozone is “nature’s disinfectant”! It is created by sunlight, ultraviolet rays, and lightning! While you may not realize it, that sweet smell we all love so much after a rainstorm is actually ozone. Ozone is safer and more environmentally friendly than most other antimicrobials AND can even kill bacteria 3,125 times faster than chlorine!

Ozone also breaks down harmful long-chain molecules

that are found in herbicides and pesticides!

Use the Roving Blue Ozo-Pod® 10 for MORE than just your food! You can also use Ozone to remove odors and bacteria from athletic gear, the kitchen sink/garbage disposal, Smelly sponges, and even your smelly pet!

Roving Blue Ozo-Pod® 10 Features:

The Ozo-Pods® are encased in stainless steel for a rugged yet elegant look for years of use.  It utilizes an advanced method to produce ozone; made out of water, not the air. A bonus feature is that most of the ozone stays in the water as a cloud as opposed to bubbling through – this will limit your exposure because ozone in higher concentrations is not good to breathe.

  • Ozone is approved by both the USDA and the FDA for use in purifying drinking water as well as for food processing.
  • Ozone is a highly germicidal form of oxygen (it is also called “O3” or “tri-oxygen”) — stronger than chlorine.
  • Within minutes, ozone reverts back to oxygen, leaving no residue, so it is a truly “green” water purification method.
  • Ozone, unlike UV light, has the ability to remove “off” tastes and odors.

  • My biggest concern is things like salmonella. I have no way of knowing if they are still there after I wash my produce. I can never be certain if I’ve done a good enough job, especially if I’m tired. I hate to feel like my only chance of avoiding these things is pure luck. I fear cross contamination. But I often like to eat my produce fresh and without cooking it.

  • My biggest concern is whether I managed to get all the dirt, bugs (if they’re on there), and hoping (sometimes in vain) that I’ve gotten any and all chemicals that happened to be sprayed on it since it was picked off. So yeah, basically did I get it clean or not.
